It is always a good practice to lodge a complaint with the card issuing bank or ATM owner bank at the earliest. The longer the time taken to notify the us, the higher will be the risk of loss.
Any transaction in the account that was not authorized directly by the card / account holder is considered to be a fraudulent transaction. An unauthorized or fraudulent transaction is a transaction in the account which is basically not done by you/or without the purview of your knowledge.
For hot listing of cards, you can use NetBanking to block your debit card immediately to protect it from further such transactions by the following three ways:
How to block your debit card using NetBanking
- Login to NetBanking using your user ID & password. For Retail Customers and Corporate Customers.
- Click on “Requests” tab
- Select “Debit-Cum-ATM Card” under Requests, there are four options : Hotlist Debit-cum-ATM Card, Unblock Debit-cum-ATM Card, Debit-cum-ATM card PIN Change (Required old PIN) and Debit-cum-ATM card PIN Reset. Please select whichever is applicable, and follow
