KYC Updation

(For NRI, PIO & OCI customers)

Identity Proof : Valid Passport/Overseas Passport & OCI card (for PIOs/OCIs)

Non-resident status proof : Valid Visa/Work Permit/Govt issued National ID having address of country of residence/Residence permit/Driving license issued by the country of residence

Photograph: Recent colour photograph

Address Proof : Any of the OVDs viz. (wherever applicable/available)

  • Proof of possession of Aadhar
  • Driving License
  • Voter’s Identity card issued by the Election Commission of India
  • Job Card issued by NREGA duly signed by an Officer of the state govt
  • Letter issued by the National Population Register containing details of name and address

OVERSEAS PROOF OF ADDRESS (Any one of the following documents having your overseas address)

  • Passport
  • Driving license
  • Government issued National ID having address at country of residence
  • Utility Bill (Electricity, Water, Gas, Telephone, Post-paid Mobile) - Not more than 2 months old
  • Registered Tenancy / Rent / Lease agreement
  • Original latest overseas bank account statement carrying overseas address -Not more than 2 months old
  • Employer’s certificate confirming overseas address.

KYC Updation

(Any one of the following modes)

  • Home Branch/Any BOI branch : Customer may submit the above mentioned documents by visiting his/her home branch (where the account is maintained) or any BOI branch
  • By Post/Courier/Email : Customer may send attested* copies of the above mentioned documents to his/her home branch by Post/Courier/ scanned copies through their Email registered with the bank.

*Note : The above mentioned documents (If sent by Post/Courier/Email) should mandatorily be attested by any one of the following:-

  • Authorised officials of overseas branches of Scheduled Commercial Banks registered in India
  • Branches of overseas banks with whom Indian banks have relationships
  • Notary Public abroad
  • Court Magistrate
  • Judge
  • Indian Embassy/Consulate General in the country where the non-resident customer resides.
